Could a simple Height-Based adjustment make tumor ablation safer?

NCT ID NCT07408375

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how to set the breathing machine (jet ventilator) during a procedure that destroys tumors with heat or cold. The goal is to find the best air pressure setting to keep patients breathing well while the doctor works precisely. About 560 adults having tumor ablation will be randomly assigned to one of four pressure settings, including one based on their height. The study will compare how often breathing problems occur with each setting.
