Summary

This study tests whether eating dried whole Saskatoon berries can improve blood sugar and cholesterol levels in adults with untreated prediabetes or early type 2 diabetes. About 92 participants will eat either Saskatoon berries or a control dried fruit daily for 10 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in fasting glucose, HbA1c, and cholesterol to see if this natural food offers a safe way to help manage diabetes.
