NCT ID NCT05763537
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doulas with extra training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) can help pregnant women in rural Montana feel more confident and supported. About 75 pregnant women will be split into three groups: one gets regular doula care, one gets care from a specially trained doula, and one gets standard care without a doula. Researchers will track their mental health, self-confidence, and social support through surveys during pregnancy and up to 6 months after birth.
