Summary
This study tests a program that gives food supplements to pregnant and breastfeeding women and their babies, plus counseling on healthy eating, exercise, and infant feeding. The goal is to reduce both obesity in mothers and stunted growth in children in rural Indigenous communities in Guatemala. About 1,532 pregnant women aged 16 and older are taking part.
