First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a computer program called Simcyp could help doctors choose the right starting dose of warfarin (a blood thinner) for people with liver cirrhosis and a blood clot in the portal vein. Twenty-one adults with mild to moderate cirrhosis took part. The goal was to see if the program helped patients reach a safe, effective blood-thinning level more quickly and safely than standard dosing.
