NCT ID NCT07571460

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a computer program (Simcyp) could help doctors choose the right starting dose of warfarin, a blood thinner, for 21 patients with liver cirrhosis and a blood clot in the portal vein. The goal was to see if the program helped patients reach a safe, effective level of blood thinning more quickly. The study found that using the program may help achieve the target blood thinning level within a few days, potentially reducing the risk of bleeding or clotting.
