Summary

This study looks at why some people with heart failure don't get rid of excess fluid with standard water pills (diuretics). Researchers will test adding two other types of diuretics—bendroflumethiazide and amiloride—to see if they improve the body's response. Fifty adults with heart failure will receive different drug combinations over several weeks to measure how well their kidneys remove salt and water.
