Smart sensor tracks leg swelling relief in bandage study

NCT ID NCT06438133

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a new sensor (CIMON) to see if it can accurately measure how well compression bandages reduce leg swelling in people with chronic edema (long-term fluid buildup). Fifty-two adults with leg swelling who needed compression bandages took part. The sensor was placed on the leg before bandaging, and participants received their usual care for 14 days. The goal was to see if the sensor works as well as standard measuring methods.
