First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a new sensor (CIMON) to see if it can accurately measure how well compression bandages reduce leg swelling in people with chronic edema. 52 participants wore the sensor on their lower leg for 14 days while receiving standard compression treatment. The goal was to compare the sensor's measurements with traditional methods like tape measures and X-rays.
