NCT ID NCT06688942
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether a mobile app called Horizons can help adults with chronic graft-versus-host disease (a long-term complication after a bone marrow transplant) manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. Twenty participants will use the app for about six weeks, completing short modules and surveys. The main goal is to see if people find the app easy and helpful to use.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Horizons mobile app (behavioral intervention)
What this could lead to
If successful, this app could provide a practical tool to help people with chronic GVHD better manage their condition and improve their daily quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The app is designed to support, not treat, the disease itself.
