First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a digital program called NiteCAPP Jr, which delivers cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to children aged 6-12. The program aims to improve sleep by teaching healthy sleep habits through interactive online sessions. Researchers will measure how well children and families stick with the program, and whether it reduces insomnia symptoms and improves sleep quality.

What this could lead to
If effective, this digital program could offer a convenient, non-drug treatment option for children with insomnia, improving sleep and daytime functioning.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to all children. The digital format may not work for everyone, and adherence could vary.
