First seen Jul 02, 2026 · Last updated Jul 02, 2026
Summary
This study compares an online program called Veteran ACT for Chronic Pain (VACT-CP) to another online pain program, Online Pain School, for veterans with chronic pain. The goal is to see which program better helps veterans improve their daily functioning, manage pain, and enhance quality of life. Participants complete weekly online sessions guided by a virtual coach, with no in-person visits required.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Veteran ACT for Chronic Pain (VACT-CP) - an online behavioral program
What this could lead to
If effective, this digital program could offer veterans a convenient, accessible way to better manage chronic pain and improve daily functioning.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small, early-stage trial comparing two online programs, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention relies on self-reported outcomes and may not work for everyone.
