Can your diet boost cancer treatment? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT04645680
Summary
This study is testing whether eating a high-fiber diet can improve gut health and help the immune system fight cancer in patients with advanced melanoma who are receiving standard immunotherapy. Fifty participants will be randomly assigned to follow either a high-fiber diet or a standard healthy diet for 11 weeks while researchers measure changes in their gut bacteria and immune response. The main goal is to see if dietary changes can make immunotherapy work better.
