First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether giving dietary advice and a simple exercise program could improve nutrition and reduce muscle loss in children aged 5–18 with cancer. 104 children receiving cancer treatment at Jimma Medical Center in Ethiopia took part. One group got diet counseling and aerobic plus resistance exercise for three months, while a control group received the same care later. The goal was to see if these lifestyle changes could help kids maintain healthier body fat and muscle mass during their cancer therapy.
