Time-Restricted eating may shrink fatty liver

NCT ID NCT05332613

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether eating only during an 8-hour window each day, combined with a healthy diet and exercise, can reduce liver fat in people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. About 40 adults with high liver fat will be assigned to either time-restricted eating plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more people in the time-restricted group achieve a 30% or greater reduction in liver fat after 12 weeks.
