Summary

This study tested a personalized approach using custom-made shoes and other foot devices to prevent diabetic foot ulcers from returning. 126 adults with diabetes who had a healed foot ulcer in the past 4 years took part. The goal was to see if matching the right foot support to each person could reduce ulcer recurrence and be cost-effective.
