First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether combining diabetes nutrition classes with a food security resource (like farmers market vouchers) can help American Indian and Alaska Native adults better manage their type 2 diabetes. About 67 participants will be split into three groups: some get both education and vouchers, some get only education, and some get only vouchers. Researchers will track blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, and food security over several months to see what works best.
