Summary
This study aims to understand how obesity relates to heart disease risk in Black men and women, as past research shows the connection may be different than in other groups. Researchers will enroll 2000 healthy, non-diabetic Black adults to measure body fat, blood fats, and how the body processes sugar and insulin. The goal is to gather information that could lead to better prevention programs for diabetes and heart disease in the Black community.
