Can a diabetic Donor's cornea work as well? 5-Year study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT07217249

Summary

This study is investigating whether corneal transplants using tissue from donors with diabetes are as successful long-term as those from donors without diabetes. It will follow 570 people who have already received a specific type of corneal transplant for five years to measure cell health. The goal is to understand if diabetes in the donor affects how well the transplant works over time.
