New eye drops aim to boost vision recovery after cornea surgery

Summary
This phase 3 study tested whether ripasudil eye drops can help people with Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy recover vision faster after a specific cornea surgery (descemetorhexis). 107 adults participated, receiving either the eye drops or a placebo for 12 weeks, followed by a gradual stop and 38 weeks of follow-up. The main goal was to see how quickly vision improved. The study is complete, and results will show if the drops are safe and effective.
