This study tests a medicated skin patch (dexmedetomidine) to see if it can reduce agitation in people with Alzheimer's dementia. About 150 adults living in care facilities will receive either the patch or a placebo for 96 hours. The goal is to measure changes in agitated behavior using a standard scale.
