First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a daily dexamethasone enema can reduce rectal injury caused by pelvic radiation in rectal cancer patients. About 40 adults will be randomly assigned to start the enema early or only after injury appears. The goal is to see if early use lowers the chance of developing radiation-induced rectal problems.
