Zapping the brain to boost social joy in depression?

NCT ID NCT07287878

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how a new, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called temporal interference (TI) affects social reward processing in people with depression. Researchers will use brain scans and tests to see if TI can change brain activity linked to social function. The goal is to understand the brain circuits involved, not to test a cure or treatment yet. 120 adults with depression will take part.
