First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested two types of dental onlays (a type of tooth restoration) made from either a special polymer (BioHPP) or a ceramic (lithium disilicate) in 40 people. The onlays were placed on damaged back teeth and evaluated for fit, color, roughness, and how patients felt about them. The goal was to see if the polymer material is a good alternative to ceramic for restoring teeth.
