New study seeks best method for durable tooth fillings

Summary
This study tests different ways to apply a universal adhesive before placing a tooth filling. Fifty adults with cavities or old fillings will get four different types of fillings each. The goal is to see which method keeps fillings intact, prevents staining, and avoids decay over five years.
