Vaccine trial offers hope for vulnerable patients in dengue zones

NCT ID NCT07087912

Summary

This study is testing whether a single-dose dengue vaccine is safe and works well for people with autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. Researchers will compare about 320 patients with these conditions to 160 healthy volunteers, all living in areas where dengue is common. The main goal is to see if the vaccine triggers a good immune response in patients without causing their underlying disease to flare up or serious side effects.
