First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested whether a vaginal gel called DEFLAGYN can help women clear high-risk HPV infections and abnormal cervical cells without surgery. 242 women with unclear Pap smears or mild cervical dysplasia used the gel for 3 months. The goal was to see if the gel increases the chance of the body clearing the virus and healing the cervix naturally.
