Brain pacemaker trial aims to curb opioid cravings

Summary
This early study tests whether deep brain stimulation (DBS) can help people with severe opioid addiction who keep relapsing despite standard treatments. Only 3 participants will receive DBS to a brain region linked to reward and craving. The goal is to see if it is safe and can reduce opioid use.
