What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

dendritic cell vaccine plus temozolomide chemotherapy

What this could lead to

If it works, this could extend survival for people with newly diagnosed glioblastoma by boosting the immune system to fight the tumor.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase trial with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The vaccine may not work or could cause side effects like inflammation.
