Summary
This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug typically used for diabetes, can prevent atrial fibrillation from coming back after a procedure called cardioversion (an electric shock to restore normal heart rhythm). About 1600 adults with AF will take either dapagliflozin or no extra drug for up to 56 days. Researchers will track heart rhythm using a handheld device to see if the drug reduces recurrence.
