Heart rhythm drug trial aims to stop AFib from coming back
NCT ID NCT07187570
Summary
This study is testing if a diabetes drug called dapagliflozin can help keep a normal heart rhythm after a procedure to fix an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). Researchers will compare the drug to usual care in 1,600 adults aged 55 and older. Participants will take the pill daily and use a handheld device to monitor their heart rhythm for up to 56 days after their procedure.
