First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether draining fluid from the chest every day helps people with advanced cancer breathe better compared to draining it three times a week. About 257 adults with cancer-related fluid buildup around the lungs will use a small tube at home to drain the fluid. The goal is to see which schedule allows the tube to be removed sooner and improves comfort.
