Turmeric and black pepper combo shows promise in slowing early cancers

NCT ID NCT04731844

First seen May 13, 2026 ยท Last updated May 13, 2026

Summary

This study tested a daily supplement of curcumin (from turmeric) and piperine (from black pepper) in 30 people with early-stage prostate cancer or the blood conditions MGUS and low-risk smoldering multiple myeloma. The goal was to see if the supplement could lower disease markers or prevent progression over 12 months. While not a cure, the approach aims to help manage these conditions without immediate aggressive treatment.
