NCT ID NCT06360575
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase II trial tests the drug crizotinib in 20 adults with advanced or hard-to-treat cancers that have a specific genetic change called MET exon 14 deletion. Crizotinib is a pill that blocks signals cancer cells need to grow. The study aims to see if the drug can shrink tumors or slow the disease. Participants will also give blood and tumor samples for analysis.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Crizotinib (a targeted cancer drug taken by mouth)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new treatment option for people with certain hard-to-treat cancers that have a specific genetic change.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 20 participants. The drug may not shrink tumors or control the cancer for long, and side effects like nausea, vision problems, or liver issues are possible.
