New shingles pain pill shows promise in major trial

Summary

This study tests whether a new oral medication called crisugabalin can provide better pain relief for people with shingles (herpes zoster) compared to standard treatments. The trial will enroll 750 adults with moderate to severe shingles pain. Participants will receive either crisugabalin plus usual care or usual care alone, and their pain levels will be tracked over time.
