New shingles pain pill shows promise in major trial

Summary

This study tests whether adding crisugabalin, a newer pain medicine, to usual treatment provides better pain relief for people with shingles. About 750 adults with moderate to severe shingles pain will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus crisugabalin. The goal is to see if the new combination reduces pain more effectively and safely.
