First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

This study tested whether taking creatine supplements for 8 weeks could improve fatigue, thinking skills, and brain chemistry in perimenopausal and menopausal women. 36 women took either creatine HCl, creatine ethyl ester, or a placebo. Researchers measured fatigue levels, exercise endurance, brain creatine levels, and cognitive interference. The trial is complete, but results are not yet reported.
