Personal talks aim to stop hypertension before it starts in crowded slums
NCT ID NCT07012096
Summary
This study is testing whether personalized counseling sessions can help prevent high blood pressure in adults living in slums in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Researchers will work with 1,700 healthy adults who have not been diagnosed with hypertension, providing them with 20 short counseling sessions focused on diet, exercise, and tobacco use. The goal is to see if this advice leads to healthier lifestyles and lower risk of developing heart disease and high blood pressure compared to just giving out informational leaflets.
