New eye imaging tech could predict LASIK and keratoconus treatment outcomes

NCT ID NCT03030755

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aims to develop imaging tools and computer simulations that predict how a person's cornea (the clear front part of the eye) will change after treatments like LASIK or corneal crosslinking. Researchers will image the eyes of 60 participants with keratoconus or those scheduled for LASIK, then compare the computer predictions to actual results. The goal is to improve safety and outcomes for corneal surgeries.
