Could a simple mineral pill help fight a deadly liver disease?
NCT ID NCT07471542
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether giving copper supplements to people with advanced liver scarring (cirrhosis) is safe and can improve their health. It will involve 30 adult patients who have cirrhosis and low copper levels. Researchers want to see if raising copper levels can help the body fight infections better and improve how patients feel.
