Blood markers may predict COPD danger levels
NCT ID NCT07154953
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study will check if certain substances in the blood, like surfactant protein-D and other markers of inflammation, can help doctors predict how severe a COPD flare-up will be in patients who need hospital care. Researchers will measure these markers in 75 adults with COPD and compare them to symptoms, lung function, and CT scans. The goal is to find better ways to identify patients at higher risk and guide their treatment.
