Cooling vest could keep weekend warriors safe in scorching heat

NCT ID NCT07539714

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether wearing a special cooling vest before exercise can help recreational athletes handle hot, humid conditions better. Thirty non-regularly trained adults will exercise in a hot lab, with and without the vest, while researchers measure heart rate, skin temperature, and perceived effort. The goal is to see if pre-cooling can reduce heat strain and improve safety for weekend athletes.
