Summary
This study compares two vitamin D medications—doxercalciferol (given through a vein) and calcitriol (taken by mouth)—to see which is better at lowering parathyroid hormone levels in kidney dialysis patients. About 98 adults on dialysis with high parathyroid hormone will take part. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage this common complication and reduce bone and heart risks.
