New study tests safer anesthesia for elderly hip fracture patients

Summary
This study compares two spinal anesthesia methods for hip fracture surgery in people over 50. One method uses a single injection, the other uses a tiny tube to give the medicine in smaller doses. The goal is to see if the tube method causes fewer drops in blood pressure and related problems like confusion or kidney injury. About 216 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups and followed for up to 24 months.
