Scientists test which talk therapy skills work best for depression

Summary

This study aims to understand which specific skills in two common talk therapies work best for treating depression. Up to 100 adults with depression in California will be randomly assigned to receive 8 weeks of either online group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Researchers will track participants' symptoms and skill use to learn which therapy approaches work best for different people.
