New study tests gentler sleep training to reduce baby crying and parent stress
NCT ID NCT05726890
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two behavioral sleep training methods for infants with insomnia: 'bedtime checking' (only at bedtime) and 'standard checking' (also during night-wakings). The goal is to see which approach improves infant and parent sleep faster while being more acceptable to parents. 270 families with infants who have early-childhood insomnia will participate, using sleep trackers and logs to measure changes over two weeks.
