New support program aims to ease cancer journey for black patients

NCT ID NCT05407844

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a community health worker to standard care improves quality of life for African American patients with advanced cancer. Researchers will compare outcomes between patients receiving standard care alone and those who also get support from a trained community health worker. The goal is to see if this extra support helps with symptom management, communication with doctors, and advance care planning.
