Summary

This study explores whether spending time in the cold enough to shiver can improve how the body handles sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Fifteen adults aged 40-75 with type 2 diabetes will undergo 10 days of cold exposure with shivering. Researchers will measure changes in insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism using glucose clamps and PET scans.
