Can a home computer program boost memory and walking in MS?
NCT ID NCT05355389
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a home-based program combining computer brain games with physical exercises can improve thinking and walking in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Ninety adults with MS will be randomly assigned to different training groups. The goal is to see if the combined approach works better than brain training or exercise alone, and to understand how any improvements happen in the brain.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
cognitive and motor training program (RehaCom software plus physical exercises)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a convenient home-based way to improve memory and walking in people with MS.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small early-stage trial (90 people) testing a non-drug approach, so results may not be dramatic or apply to everyone. The training requires consistent effort at home.
