NCT ID NCT06723262

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways of tuning cochlear implants to see which helps adults with hearing loss understand speech better, especially in noisy settings. About 25 French-speaking adults who have had a cochlear implant for six months will try both settings. The goal is to find out if a tonotopy-based fitting improves hearing in noise and quiet, and how it affects their sense of sound direction.
