First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 40 times
Summary
This study looks at whether stimulating deeper parts of the inner ear with a cochlear implant helps people hear music better. About 32 adults with hearing loss who already qualify for a cochlear implant will test two different stimulation depths. The goal is to see if the deeper setting improves sound quality and music perception.
