NCT ID NCT06059391

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests a vaccine given to stem cell donors to help protect transplant recipients from cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. The vaccine boosts the donor's immune system against CMV, and that immunity is passed to the patient through the donated stem cells. The trial involves 216 donor-recipient pairs and aims to see if this approach can prevent CMV reactivation and disease after transplant.
