Study tests simpler antibiotic dosing for tough bone infections
NCT ID NCT03246360
Summary
This study compared two methods of giving the antibiotic cloxacillin to treat serious bone and joint infections. It involved 12 patients with infections caused by a specific bacteria. Each patient tried both a continuous 24-hour drip and the standard method of several shorter infusions per day to see if they worked equally well.
