Summary
This study is testing whether taking clopidogrel (a blood thinner) every day for at least 5 years can prevent heart attacks, strokes, and death in people who have early signs of coronary artery disease on scans but no symptoms. About 11,000 adults aged 40 and older will be assigned to either take clopidogrel or receive no blood-thinning medication. The goal is to see if early treatment can stop the disease from getting worse.
